Abstract Photography, category macro, style contemporary art.

Macro photography often embraces the perfect imagery of little objects such as flower-hearts, insects, water-drops.
But what is it I am looking for as an artist?

Do I want to find the actual form of an object, a part of it?
What is it I want to tell you, show you, make you feel?

My quest - in all my work - originates from a fascination for light and movement, or rather the movement of the light ?
And the question: can I catch this... is that possible ...and if yes, what does it create?

My objects, although spontaneous, have reselected themselves till there was left only a few that "work" .
They work because they do not only catch the light, they break and reflect it.
Only and only then the compositions - as you can see them - arise.

Technically speaking I work in an unorthodox way.
Sharp or unsharp, correct lighting or not.... as long as it serves my composition and sense of color it is fine with me.
Technique has to be my helper, my support but not my goal.

I am lead by strong intuition and feeling. The end-result has to fascinate me, speak to me and give me a rush.
When I can see it "speaks about" my quest of movement and light, when the colors and composition suit me, I am deeply moved.

All my photographs are original and uncut. What you see is the whole picture unprocessed.
So no alterations, no cutting. As a whole, original satisfying or not selected.

It is no longer clear to the viewer what the objects are that I have photographed. That is my intention.
The questions they provoke, the searching, guessing and wondering is part of my visual language.
I ask you to stop thinking and start feeling.
Dare to look into this abstract fantasy world and maybe see some of your own world mirrored back to you.
